[MUSIC PLAYING] This guy has been a phenomenal success in the UK over the last 25 years. A lot of that has been due to the trust in the brand. The market as well [INAUDIBLE]. You've got Netflix. You've got to go and you get big players out there. We have to have the best technology. That's [INAUDIBLE] the way a competitive market.
Sky and Dell are for the long term strategic relationship. There has been multiple projects that we have work on and delivered over the past couple years. I think two very key projects come to mind-- one was the identity management project where we completely rebound data management strategy and the technology that backed it up. The other one was regards to our contact center. Our contact centers take 60 million calls per year. We had to take the front end of the business, and completely replace that. And we replaced that with Dell WYSE [INAUDIBLE]. It led to much less disruption for the users. With the recent acquisition of Sky Italy and Sky Germany, there is very much a challenge ahead for us. As how do you take three independently successful companies and merge them together. We have a very clear strategy of how we got from where we are just now, to a multinational organization that has the technology, and the processes, that back that up.
Technically from the software side, what we focused on was, what our strengths were. And our strengths generally were .NET and VBScript in terms of the skills on our team. And what we look to do, was basically play to our strengths. I feel like we wanted to make sure that whenever we picked a solution, it was going to be something well within our comfort zone. It wasn't just a project for us, it was a program of work. We were looking for the long game, we were looking for a partnership. We were able to have a platform, and production, up and running in less than six months. We enhanced our security by looking at a [INAUDIBLE] process. Not only [INAUDIBLE] shut down of access on IT systems, but we shut down physical access systems as well.
The key advantage really was self sufficiency. We put six months of professional services engagement, to get us to speed. But what matters [INAUDIBLE] myself and Scott knew the platform well enough. [INAUDIBLE] what is [INAUDIBLE] that we can do whatever we want with the platform. without any third-party assistance requirements.
One of the key elements that differentiates Dell is that we have continued success with them over long periods of time. And that's why we want to go back and work with them ongoing.
